Winds of change have been blowing here in the Tume-Agri company this year. The strategy and the management of the company has been clarified.

Since the end of April, we have been part of the PEL Group, when Pel-tuote became the main owner of Tume-Agri Oy. The change in the group itself just means that We will do more cooperation with Pel-tuote. Tume-Agri company will definitely be an independent, traditional company in Turenki, Finland in the Future too!  There are also a lot of things to be developed in Tume just now. The most important thing in management is to finish all projects until a new development project can be started again. I think that is the best way to get something done.

As you read the title of this post, you also read Tume’s new slogan. The slogan as a single thing doesn’t seem very important, but We think that good slogan tells something about the company. In the case of Tume, the new slogan tells about the strategy of Tume.

Let’s open the meaning of the slogan “Grow With a Good Flow” a bit:

• Tume is an international company and the slogan has to be in international language, not just in Finnish.
• Slogan means that We want to grow our turnover, to ensure a good atmosphere for the staff in the whole company.
• “Good flow” means casualty in business ownership and management. In the background of the company there are genuine people who are easy to approach.
• The slogan means developing our production. Growth and international competition require our production to become more and more competitive. That means We have to develop our material flow with Lean-thinking all the time.
• The slogan means social responsibility. As we grow, we will create more jobs for people.
• The slogan means that it is easy for our partners and customers to grow with us.
• The most important thing is that the slogan means that feeling that we want our customers to feel inside when they look at the fast-growing field sown by Tume’s machines.

So our new slogan has a meaning that is visible in our operations today and in the future.

Our financial year ends at the end of June and we will grow as a company even in this exceptional “Covid-year”. Despite the strong price increases in material, we believe that demand will remain strong for the coming year as well. We have budgeted growth for Tume and We have decided to make significant investments to develop our operations and ensure our profitability. We have decided to invest for example a new welding robot station and a new ERP system, which We will star using in November. New products will be introduced in the autumn, so stay tuned.

So there is a lot of work ahead, but before that, it will do very good to us all to have vacation after this special time. Very big thank you to all the staff, partners and customers of Tume!
